Amazing! 10/10 would recommend to anyone :) not only is the food outstanding, the service is so warm and welcoming and ambiance/interior is gorgeous. We were a party of three and ordered the Mezze collection as an appetizer to start which was very well done- it can be easily seen that the olive oil used for every dish especially this one is of super high quality. We then ordered the Mediterranean octopus, spring lamb mix grill, and the baked whole fish which was portioned at the table! For dessert we had the chocolate halva mousse. We were all super impressed by the consistency and accuracy of the cook for all the meats we had. From the fish to the octopus to all the different cuts of lamb- the cook for all of them was superb! We will be coming back again for any nice dinner or celebration. Super happy to have found another go to restaurant in the city!
Great spot to come to with a big group! I made a reservation for 8 about a week in advance and even called to see if it could be 9 instead, and they were very nice and accommodating. We did have to wait about 20-30 min once we arrived for our reservation which they turned the table over, but we were seated at this interesting triangle table which was a new experience for me. Definitely better than one long table because you could see everyone! Not as good as a circle table though. The service was wonderful. They brought out a huge box for us to see all of the fish options, it was wild! The dips and spreads we shared were presented really nicely and delicious, most with a fun unique twist. I appreciated that everyone got their own pita for dipping, which made sharing easier too. We ordered the watermelon feta salad, potatoes, and a fish dish from the specials menu that day. The salad was yummy but really just a block of watermelon with a piece of feta and avocado on top, so a little underwhelming of a presentation. The potatoes were delicious. The fish was really yummy and flavorful, but I found the bones to be quite annoying and hard to find. The espresso martini I got was also really good! Overall it was a fun place to come for a celebratory group dinner. Good food and ambiance, just not any dishes I am still thinking about, although I enjoyed it a lot. In a city where it's tough to make reservations with a week's notice (especially for a big group) this is a great option!!
amazing Greek food and lovely interior/ambience , perfect for a larger group!! They're definitely known for their seafood. we had a group of 9 and split the cheesy pie + Mezze collection and a few other dips which were all so delicious. the tzatziki seemed to be a favorite , u can't go wrong with any on the menu. the cheesy pie was unexpectedly delicious! it was really airy and light and had amazing flavor. 3 of us split 2 entrees of the skate fish, lemon potatoes, and watermelon salad which i think was tbe perfect amount and we had a little bit of skate fish leftover to take home. the skate fish was so amazing and cooked perfectly. it was the first time i've ever had it and i really liked it. it had a bit of a crust on the sides which juxtaposed perfectly with the juicy and soft inside of the fish. the lemon potatoes were also really good and i liked the way they were cut and cooked- i think it helped to make them extra flavorful. the watermelon salad was my favorite part of the dinner. the presentation was really unique and the dill/mint and feta combo worked perfectly. we were seated outside which was really nice on a hot day and the interior of the restaurant is also really beautiful. our server was really nice and explained the menu to us in depth which we really appreciated! Our only slight issue was that we had a reservation at 8:45 and were seated approximately 30+ minutes later but fortunately we didn't have any other plans later on. it would have been nice to have been seated at our reservation time but we understand that they were really busy too. Wld definitely come back to try more dishes!!
The food itself at Andros is excellent -- 5/5. Everything tastes fresh and the flavors are so bold and delicious. The fried cheese and octopus were great, and you gotta love the fresh vine tomatoes with their house spices. The pita and eggplant were also great. My issue with Andros is that -- despite having a reservation for a graduation dinner -- our table had to wait more than 40 minutes to be seated. I understand small wait times, but 40 minutes with a reservation is simply outrageous. The hostess staff was not super apologetic, but I called for the staff to make it up to us and they brought multiple dishes on the house -- which we appreciated. I hope to go back and enjoy improved service with a reservation, but the food and atmosphere are fit for a very fun night in Logan square.
We had one of the best servers I can think of. Professional, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was pretty unforgettable. The mix of spreads is a must and don't forget the bread. The gyros plates might be a bit large but it's mostly bread that makes it look that big. Other menu items are worth trying as well. This restaurant has a great ambiance with all the plants and the ton of light it gets. It's a good spot for a family brunch.
Soooo good! Amazing food, great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend ordering a bunch of things and sharing with the table. The spicy whipped feta is my favorite. The feta balances out the heat and the pita bread is incredible. My other favorites are the roasted calamari and the spanakopita. Can't wait to go back!
Absolutely love this restaurant! It is the spot I crave for their delicious pita (best ever) with a trio of spreads, cheese pie which is so savory and sweet. We also enjoyed the cocktails, fish (deboned at the table and lemon chicken. And icing on the cake was the exceptionally good service. Can't wait to go back again and again.
What can I even say except that this is the type of Greek food the city of Chicago has been waiting for!! Going to Andros Taverna was a super last minute decision that was made on a busy Saturday for brunch but it was truly the best experience we could have asked for! Right off the bat, you will notice the beautiful aesthetics of this super bright, modern, and chic restaurant. There is so much gorgeous greenery, huge windows, and ample sunlight pouring in. This is a very busy place, especially on weekends so make sure you make reservations ahead of time, and it will be 10000% worth it. Let's talk food - you HAVE to try a few different mezze's to start off. We got the traditional tzatziki (AMAZING), charred eggplant (YUMMY), santorini favas (so freaking good!!!), and the best of all - spicy whipped feta. Might I say, it was the BESTTTTT spicy whipped feta I have ever tasted. It was so fluffy, so delicious, and just not enough!! We had to order more because we just could not stop eating it! What really puts the cherry on top is their fantastic wood fired pitas. They. Are. UNREAL. The flavor, the char, the delicious seasoning on top - there is not a single pita I have had that beats this one!! The main course only got better - the chicken souvlaki was tender and juicy and flavorful and crispy all at once. The spicy yogurt, fries, lettuce, and tomatoes complimented the chicken so well and made for the perfect bite every single time! We also tried georgie's gyro which represented the traditional gyro - once again, perfectly flavored and absolutely delicious. This is truly one of my favorite restaurants in the city because not only do you get delicious food, you also get the most amazing ambiance, incredible service, and the best vibes! Cannot wait to go back and try beef keftedes and short rib pasta! If you are craving amazing Greek food, this is the spot for you!
